Home for a melting pot of cuisine and a haven for plant-based food, Kemang has just welcomed a brand new plant-based eatery, Max's Pizza. Opened on 18th September 2021, Max's Pizza is a new concept by Burgreens providing 100% vegan pizza, from familiar flavours like Margherita Pizza and Meatball Pizza to a unique dough like Rendang Pizza and Pesto Chick'n Pizza.

After months of trial, Max's Pizza successfully created a satisfying pizza with crispy dough and melty cheese using plant-based ingredients. Their pizza is not only 100% plant-based, but to accommodate a broader audience, Max's Pizza also gives choices of allium-free and gluten-free options. And similar to other new york style pizza shops in Jakarta, customers may order a whole pizza or single slice. 

We tried the Meatball Pizza and Mushroom Truffle Pizza, and both tasted pretty close to a non-vegan pizza. Their Meatball Pizza uses vegan cheddar cheese, oregano, onion, red bell pepper, and vegan meatball with a tomato base. And their gluten-free mushroom truffle is a combination of truffle oil and vegan cheddar combined with oregano, onion, champignon mushroom creating a savoury treat. One thing worth mentioning is that the pizza dough is chewy yet crunchy, making it not hard to chew as some pizza dough might be.

After a filling up on pizzas, quenched it down with some Burgreens staples such as Happy Soda – a fizzy cola specially made with cinnamon, nutmeg, star anise, coriander seeds, and lime. While Max's Vegan Pizza mainly serves pizzas, they also serve a variety of rice bowls and other side dishes you can try. As well as some different Burgreens signatures like Vegan Boba and Es Kopi Susu Abang Max.

You can find Max's Pizza in Jl Benda No.16A. Kemang, Jakarta Selatan and open every day from 10 am to 9 pm. With a fun new york style ambience and the smell of freshly cooked pizza when you enter the door, Max’s Pizza is a new cool place to hang out.
