Established in 1948 by a German-Jewish master soapmaker, Emanuel Bronner, the soapmaking process itself initially started way back in 1858 by Emanuel's father, Heilbronner. His father, Heilbronner, began to try the soapmaking process in his own home in Laupheim, Germany. It wasn't until later in the 1880s, Heilbronner finally invented the first liquid castile soap under the brand of "Madaform."

Born in 1908, Emanuel Bronner was destined to continue his family business. He even received a Soapmaking Master certificate from guild system trade school and a university degree in chemistry in the 1920s. Long story short, today, Dr. Bronner's Peppermint soap has become a wellness culture. From Bobbi Brown, Jason Mraz, Sandra Bullock, Drake, even Meghan Markle, they all are fans of Dr. Bronner's.

Using an approach called Constructive Capitalism, Emanuel Bronner believed that a company should share the profit with its employees and the Earth. "It's important to us that our products have a real and positive impact on the people and communities worldwide that make them", they added on their official website.

The good news is, in October 2019, Dr. Bronner's became available in Indonesia. Apart from being environmentally friendly and having many variants with delicious aromas, the quality is also good for the skin. One of them is that they are able to conceal Keratosis Pilaris.
