Established in 1959, Bakmi GM is famous for serving an array of delectable dishes centered around bakmi (wheat-based noodles) and rice. In recent years, the Indonesian restaurant chain has rolled out the meatless versions of some of its iconic creations, including pangsit goreng and pangsit kuah. This month, in commemoration of World Vegan Day, the legendary noodle joint has launched three new, fully vegan options!

Customers are now able to enjoy the vegan options for any of the restaurant’s rice noodles, rice, or shirataki-based meals. For these, Bakmi GM has swapped animal meat for mushroom and other plant-based ingredients while retaining all of the other key components so as to maintain its unmistakable taste profile. The vegan options can be ordered à la carte or as part of a package.

The promo package, which will be available only until the 13th of November, comes with Iced Green Tea and is priced between Rp 45,456 to Rp 63,183, depending on the type of noodle or rice. Although we hope the restaurant will make its classic bakmi fully vegan in the near future, for now, vegans who have been longing to devour Bakmi GM’s products can go to the restaurant and enjoy wholesome and comforting meals that are not only free from any animal products but also every bit as tasty as their meat-based counterparts!

The vegan options are currently available at selected Bakmi GM stores, including Puri Indah Mall, Pondok Indah Mall 1, Soho Pancoran, Aeon Mall Serpong, Jalan Gajah Mada No. 92, Melawai, Citra Garden 6, Emporium Pluit, Arkadia, Mall Kelapa Gading, Mall Taman Anggrek, Living World Alam Sutera, Ruko Summarecon Bekasi, and Jalan Sunda. Who’s excited about this launch and already planning to pay a visit to Bakmi GM?
